Originally starting out in 2010 until 2021 our work was based around our flagship weekly radio programme SacredSpace102fm (SS102fm); now the C&SI team aims to work on various podcasts which contribute to the New Evangelisation and spread hope and faith online and on air. This page hosts C&SI's podcasts including our weekly podcast as well as other recordings and inspirational talks which we would like to share with you our listeners.
For our historic information and programme content you can also visit our old blog (2010 to 2019) at https://sacredspace102.blogspot.com/ (Please note that the blog is no longer being updated).

C&SI - WOF: The Rise of Euthanasia - 6 August 2023 (S03E37)
On this weeks podcast John and Shane are doing something a little different. Normally here on C&SI we don't stray into the area of politics and controversy. However, there are times when we feel that we can contribute to the public conversation and the current discussion around euthanasia and assisted suicide which is a topic being discussed in the Joint Health Committee of the Irish Oireachtas is one such area of concern.
As part of that discussion we are going to have three weeks of podcasts looking into the issue. So on this weeks podcast we have our third podcast where we are sharing a podcast from Word on Fire Show: The Rise of Euthanasia.
"Do we have a right to choose how and when we die? Should we be worried about the rapid rise of euthanasia, including in the United States?
Euthanasia has been in the news lately thanks to reports out of Canada, where last year, over 10,000 Canadians ended their lives via euthanasia. Those numbers are sure to go up, as Canada has loosened restrictions so that people can now choose euthanasia not only to avoid pain and suffering in the face of terminal disease, but simply for “mental health reasons.”
The C&SI team highly recommend the work of Word on Fire so make sure to go over and visit their resource full site.
Here on C&SI as well as the recording from WoF of the discussion with Bishop Robert Barron and Brendan Vogt in part 2, we have our regular run through the liturgical odds and ends and of course our reflections and thoughts on the Sunday gospel which this week is Matthew's account of the Transfiguration.
