With joy we greet our listeners this second Sunday of Easter as we draw to the end of the Easter Octave and wish everyone a joyous Easter as Christians continue to celebrate the good news of the Resurrection! This week we extend that celebration with our Orthodox & Greek Orthodox brothers & sisters as they celebrate Pascha this weekend!
On this weeks podcast we are joined by Sr Louise O'Rourke PDDM who reflects on the feast of Divine Mercy which is also celebrated on the Second Sunday of Easter. A private devotion brought to the world by St Faustina and which was strongly supported by John Paul II, Sr Louise takes us through the history of the devotion to Divine Mercy and the message it holds for us.
We have our run through the saints of the week (although we forgot to remind listeners about next Saturday being May Eve)
We have our reflection on the gospel from John this week continuing the account of the appearances of the risen Jesus to the community of followers and this week the particular role of Thomas.
